Chapter 44 - Homeostasis

This chapter covers thermoregulation and osmoregulation of the body - both parts of an organism's need for homeostasis. We will focus the majority of our attention on the osmoregulatory system covering the urinary tract, kidney anatomy, and nephron function.

Chapter 42 - Gas Exchange

We finally finish this chapter by covering the respiratory portion of the cardiovascular system. We look a the variety of respiratory systems in the animal kingdom and finish by looking closely at the respiratory system of mammals.

We continue on animal circulation focusing on the mammalian circulatory system. We cover the parts of the 4-chambered heart including the chambers, valves, and major vessels leading to and away from the heart.

The cardiac cycle, heart beat, and blood pressure are also explained.
